Ordinær pris 179,00 krEverest & Himalaya
Ordinær pris 199,00 krThe climbing season for Everest begins in May, just about the time that vaccinations against Covid should kick into high gear. Time to start planning that little jaunt you’ve always wanted to do! Seriously, this is a lovely double-sided map with two attractive covers, so can be displayed either as Everest or Himalaya. The Everest side covers the mountain itself, with base camps and accommodations clearly shown. There are actually several interesting trails one could explore and all are shown; only one leads to the summit. The reverse side shows the entire Himalaya ‘knot’ that forms the basis for so many mountain chains.
The area of coverage includes all of Nepal and Sikkim, a significant portion of Bhutan, most of Tibet, and a bit of northern India. All roads and attractions are shown. The map includes a detailed inset map for Kathmandu and another for the valley region surrounding the city. There are now half a dozen access roads into Nepal, and all are shown. East-west travel is finally available with the completion of Hwy 1401. Legend Includes: Roads by classification, Rivers and Lakes, National Park, Airports, Points of Interests, Highways, Main Roads, Zoos, Fishing, and much more...

India: Delhi & North
Ordinær pris 149,00 krITM har kart over hele verden og de spesialiserer seg på land litt utenfor allfarvei. Beliggenheten til landets nasjonalparker, historiske monumenter, de viktigste veiene o.L. Finner du inkludert i kartene. Samtlige landkart har ofte et bykart over hovedstaden.
Fra ITM: Delhi is not only one of the largest cities in the world, it is the principal gateway into India. It is also the capital of modern India, and was the capital of the Mughal dynasty from the mid-1600s. As a result, it is a blend of history, the Raj era, and post-independence chaos. The Red Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Tughlaqabad fortress ruins, dating from the 1300s, stretch for six kilometers. India’s largest mosque is located here, as well as its largest Hindu temple and the largest Sikh temple. In fact, Delhi is a city of religious buildings. The reverse side of the sheet is new to this edition, covering much of central northern India and is perfect for making short tours of the region from Udaipur in the southwest to Srinagar in Kashmir/Jammu and historic Lucknow, site of the siege during the Mutiny, in the east. Jaipur and Agra (with its world famous Taj Mahal) is also on the map, as are dozens of other interesting cities and cultural sites. Printed on waterproof paper, this map is both informative and full of interesting tidbits of information. Delhi 1:30.000, Northern India 1:3.000.000.

Sri Lanka & India South
Ordinær pris 199,00 krThis edition is a considerable improvement on our previous one, benefitting from the extensive research trip we took to the emerald-shaped island shortly before the outbreak of Covid changed the world. We have re-introduced it as a map printed on waterproof paper, as such a format holds up well in a hot, humid climate. We visited all parts of the island and were quite impressed by the number of local hotels and resorts that we found and have added to the map. We were particularly gratified to discover progress on extending the motorway system for the country, much of it now probably delayed due to Covid.
The inset map of Colombo is particularly well-done. The second side of the sheet is a very detailed map of the southern third of India, from Nagpur to the southern tip of the country. Space constraints did not allow for inset maps, but several well-known cities are included – Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pondicherry, Madurai, and Bengaluru (Bangalore) among them. India is a fascinating, if somewhat intimidating, place to visit, but is well-worth the time to do so.
